Maria – Director
With 10 years of child care experience and a Bachelor of Education as well as a Certificate in Management, my philosophy, which closely aligns with Toxteth Kindergarten’s, is making sure that the children, families and community are our priority.
At Toxteth Kindergarten we aim to create a home away from home. The team and I believe that children should be able to grow, develop and learn in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe children need a happy, caring and healthy space that allows time for individual discovery and expression. We hold our local community and families as a high priority and often involve them in our planning and events
At Toxteth Kindergarten your child will be part of a strong educational program that is built on each child’s individual interests which will maximise the learning potential of all the children in our care. We value the idea of small groups where children and educators are engaged in projects based on the children’s ideas and interests.
Zinda
I have worked at Toxteth Kindergarten for over 11 years. The thought of providing high quality meals each day for each child is a passion of mine. I love the community feel of Toxteth Kindergarten and the home like atmosphere. I have completed training in Munch and move as well as my Food Handling Certificate.
Diego
I have worked in child care for over 5 years, I love the way children grow up and change becoming their own individual people. I enjoy bringing my dance background into the service and teaching the children. I was attracted to the not for profit community feel of Toxteth. Working closely with the families and local community is a great advantage to have.

I have worked in childcare for over 11 years, I have completed my Diploma in Children Services as well as many professional development courses. Childcare for me is not just a job, it is me making a difference to each child and their families as we work together to provide an individual program designed for their child. To watch a child grow from a baby to a very confidant individual with their own special personality is the most rewarding aspect if my career.

I have been working in the early childhood field for over 6 years. While I was finishing my studies I knew that childcare was something that interested me. I have a passion with working with children, families and my local community. I love walking in daily and knowing that I’m making a difference in each child’s life. I love learning about each child and their individual personalities.

Over the past 11 years I have enjoyed my job as a child care educator. Working with children is my passion, and I love being able to guide them in their learning and make a difference in their lives at such an early age. When I walk in the door at work every morning I get 29 smiling faces welcoming me, and there is no better way to start the day. I love Toxteth because the families have such a massive input into how the centre is run, making us a big part of the wonderful Annandale community.

I have work at Toxteth kindergarten for 27 years. The community feel, the parent commitment and the children are what keep me coming back each and every day. I have completed my Certificate in Early Childhood Education as well as numerous professional development courses. I love the feeling of knowing I'm making a difference to each child and the local community. The not for profit philosophy of Toxteth Kindergarten and my personal philosophy work in conjunction together. The feeling of seeing children as they grow and develop on the streets of Annandale and how they recognize me is a component of child care that makes me smile daily.
